Description

RNA Lab aims to provide information concerning software tools and databases dealing with RNAs. These tools are categorized into three groups: tools dealing with RNA sequences, tools dealing with RNA structures, and other RNA analysis or drawing tools. Some tools have multiple functions and hence are placed in more than one category. This website is under construction, and your comments will be appreciated. If you know of any tool that is related but is not listed here, please let us know.

Research Project

Our current research project is focused on design and implementation of a suite of algorithms for RNA structure prediction, RNA structure alignment, RNA-protein interaction, RNA-RNA interference, and RNA structural motif discovery, with applications to a wide variety of organisms. The outcomes of this project include software tools, databases and their online user manuals and documentation. Click here to download our software. Click here to access our papers. Student Projects

Many students enrolled in the Computer Science Department, Information Technology Program and Bioinformatics Program are engaged in data mining and bioinformatics research in general, and RNA data analysis in particular. Selected student projects related to RNA sequence and structure analysis are posted here.
